Vomitoxin, also known as deoxynivalenol (DON), belongs to the trichothecene group of compounds and is a toxic metabolite mainly produced by certain species of Fusarium. It is named for its ability to cause vomiting in pigs and also poses a certain degree of harm to humans. Vomitoxin is commonly found in crops such as wheat, corn, barley, and oats. When humans and animals accidentally ingest grain contaminated with this toxin, it can produce widespread toxic effects. In recent years, studies have found that vomitoxin may be associated with human esophageal cancer and IgA nephropathy, and it also has an impact on the immune system. It exhibits significant embryotoxic and teratogenic effects, and may have genetic toxicity, but it is not carcinogenic or mutagenic. Vomitoxin Rapid Test Kit This product is based on a time-resolved fluorescence immunoassay rapid quantitative detection technology platform. When the test sample droplet is added to the sample well of the detection card, the fungal toxin in the test sample liquid binds to the antibody labeled with fluorescent microspheres in the binding pad and undergoes capillary action for forward chromatography. After reaching the detection area, the fixed fungal toxin antigen on the detection line binds to the remaining unbound labeled antibody. After the reaction is completed, use a fluorescence quantitative rapid detector to read the fluorescence value, and calculate the content of fungal toxins in the sample through the built-in standard curve, thereby achieving the purpose of quantitative and qualitative analysis. The product can detect samples of grain, oil, grains and their products, food, feed raw materials, and formulated feed.
